Mr. Barber has more than a decade of experience in financial auditing and analysis, financial and cost accounting, program evaluation, and financial investigations. Before joining B&A in January 2017, Mr. Barber was the Chief Audit Executive for the Arizona Department of Economic Security, overseeing, among other auditing programs, the Department’s HCBS claims auditing program, which verified the accuracy of paid claims compared to provider records, including timesheets, consumer attendance logs, and similar supporting documentation. Prior to that, he was a Senior Auditor with the Arizona Office of the Auditor General, where he oversaw Sunset and Performance audits of various State agencies, including the State’s Medicaid agency.
