The Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is in the process of studying payments for services covered by Sections 18, 20, 21, and 29 of the MaineCare Benefits Manual. This project will also inform provider payment rates for the proposed Lifespan program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

Burns & Associates, Inc. (B&A) is assisting DHHS with this initiative and has established this website as a repository for study-related materials.

PROVIDER SURVEY

A key factor in this effort is a provider survey to collect data regarding providers’ service delivery designs and costs, which is available for download:

  • The Excel-based survey can be accessed here.
  • The survey instructions can be accessed here.
  • A webinar that walks through the survey can be accessed here.
  • A document that provides responses to frequently asked questions about the provider survey can be accessed here.

Data collected through this survey will be used solely for the purpose of evaluating payment reform options. Only aggregated data will be reported; no provider-specific information will be published.

Completed surveys are due by February 7, 2024 and should be submitted to [email protected]
