Steven Abele has administered and analyzed provider cost surveys and developed HCBS rates and service specifications for the Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities, Arizona Division of Behavioral Health, Louisiana Office of Citizens with Developmental Disabilities, and Oregon Department of Human Services (with HSRI). He also maintains an independent provider rate assessment system, conducts budget monitoring and forecasting for HCBS programs, and offers technical assistance to state agencies in the areas of operations, procurement, and waiver budget neutrality requirements. He also participated in the readiness review for the Arizona DD Agency’s fiscal intermediary.
Mr. Abele has over 12 years of experience in the health care industry. Prior to his consulting career, Mr. Abele worked for a large tertiary hospital, where he developed expertise in revenue performance monitoring, performance improvement, financial analysis, and admitting and patient financial services.
